2011 Boys Red
Coaches John & Nikola Pearson
WVFC 2011 Boys Red is a competitive boys soccer team that currently competes in the Club Champions League which has teams from MD, DC, VA, and WV. They are part of the US Soccer recommended developmental age group where they play 7v7. At age U13, they will begin 11v11 soccer (2023-24 year.)
The team competes in competitive tournaments all around Virginia, Maryland, DC, and general Mid-Atlantic. As well, the team will compete in WV State Cup series, with the aspiration to win the WV State Championship, starting at U13.
The focus for the team is building a very solid foundation of all skills as well as soccer tactics (individual, group, and team).
They train hard, mostly year around for Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons, and strive for excellence while still having fun! The coaches treat their development in the context of the total picture: person, student, athlete, and soccer player.
The team maintains disciplined, yet fun-based, player development in all facets of skills and tactics in order to prepare the boys for continued advancement as young players, and to be well prepared for coming years as they strive to compete in club soccer, Olympic Development Program (ODP), HS play, and eventually college in the future.
