WVFC is lucky to have Coach Jason Bowers (WVFC 04B RED) working overtime this winter to introduce our players to the incredible world of CrossFit. The trial program continues to draw players out to test their physical conditioning in a safe and fun environment.
CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements. CrossFit defined the goal (fitness) as increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains.
CrossFit strives to achieve competence in ten areas: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. As any soccer player knows, all of these are vital to becoming a good soccer player.
Extreme CrossFit Martinsburg has developed programming specific to our soccer players' needs to help them improve in all of these aspects. -- Jason Bowers
